Lower Camp

2nd - 5th Grades

Lower Camp!

Designed to give younger campers the support, encouragement, and supervision they need to feel comfortable and confident away from home. Caring counselors are closely involved throughout the day, helping campers navigate cabin life, make friends, manage routines, and adjust to the camp experience. Juniors are encouraged to try new activities, build independence, and take small steps outside their comfort zones while knowing there is always a trusted adult nearby. The focus is on creating a warm, nurturing environment where campers feel safe, supported, and excited to be part of the Berkshire Trails community.

Guided Discovery

Activities are instructed by our dedicated staff of specialty counselors experienced in those skills. They are able to experience all the traditional activities and still have the opportunity to try new things like waterskiing, flying on the trapeze, and more. Campers are encouraged to sample different activities while improving their skills in more familiar ones.
